A Museum in Lyon

I went to see an interesting museum last week-end in Lyon, France, where they build sort of film sets in their giant building, from a japanese bath house to a New York metro train to a barbershop. All is meticulously made with great attention to details.

OK. I'd like to tell you the truth. I lied and these are not real. Well, they ARE real. But tiny. These are Miniature Collections at Musée Miniature et Cinéma in Lyon. An interesting little museum that displays these miniatures and also numerous memorabilias from many Hollywood movies. You can find a dinosaur puppet from Jurrasic Park, a replica of White House from Independence Day, a fake corpse from The X-Files, etc.

When I was there, there was also a Wes Anderson exposition, with a miniature of The Grand Budapest Hotel and the puppets from Fantastic Mr. Fox, with the original soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat playing from a speaker.

And, they indeed have a replica of film sets from The Perfume at the basement, which is also scented with perfume.
